Supported file formats

Supported formats depend on the tool. PDF is used by the core PDF tools, while image and office conversions accept only the formats listed on the corresponding tool page. Complex source files can have limitations even when a format is accepted.

PDF workflows

Merge, split, rotate, reorder, extract, watermark, page number, protect, unlock, and sign tools accept PDF and create PDF. PDF to JPG creates JPG page images. PDF to Word creates a DOCX with rendered page images, and PDF to Excel exports readable extracted text to XLSX.

Image workflows

JPG to PDF accepts JPG and PNG. HEIC to PDF accepts HEIC and HEIF where browser decoding is available. PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, WEBP to JPG, and JPG to WEBP use the named image formats. Image conversion results can omit unsupported metadata or transparency where the target format cannot represent it.

Office, text, and data workflows

Word to PDF accepts DOCX and plain text. Excel to PDF accepts spreadsheet data supported by its importer. Text tools accept pasted text. JSON, CSV, Base64, URL, timestamp, and hash tools work with text input rather than uploaded document files.
